CASHMERE + WOOL

To maintain the quality of your cashmere and wool pieces, avoid washing after every wear. Instead, lay them flat to air out naturally. If cleaning is necessary, we highly recommend DRY CLEAN ONLY as water washing may lead to shrinkage or loss of shape.  If required, very gentle hand washing it in cool water with a mild detergent. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric; instead, press out excess water and lay it flat on a towel to air dry.

For storage, fold cashmere and wool items and keep them in a drawer, away from direct sunlight. Avoid hanging, as it can distort the fabric. After long storage periods, allow garments to air out to prevent deterioration. Placing bamboo-charcoal purifying bags in your wardrobe can help control humidity, absorb excess moisture and to protect it from dust and moths. Pilling is natural with cashmere and wool. To remove it, use a pilling comb or fabric shaver, and avoid brushing to preserve the fabric’s integrity.

SILK

Silk is one of the most sought-after fabrics in the world, delicate fabric spun from the threads of silkworms, known for its luxurious softness.  To preserve its beauty, dry cleaning is recommended. If necessary, hand wash in cold water. Temperatures above 29°C (80°F) will cause significant damage the fabric. Avoid excessive force when spot-treating, and never twist or wring out water; instead, lay flat on a clean towel and let it air dry in a shaded area to prevent fading.  If finished silk fabric is exposed to sun, it can easily fade and cause damage to the color of the product.

Store silk garments on hangers in a dry, well-ventilated space with similar colours. Using steamer/ Ironing has antiseptic properties that may help to extend the life cycle of your silk items. Mist with water evenly on the opposite side of the garment before ironing. Keep the iron’s temperature under 65 °C (150°F) to avoid burning or damaging the fabric.

When wearing silk, avoid perfumes, moth balls, cosmetics, sweat, and exercise.

LINEN

Linen responds well to a cold hand wash or gentle machine wash, separate from your other items. Dry your garment flat in the shade, and iron or steam once completely dry. Pro tip: a light spritz of water will relax the fiber, making it easier to soften any creases. Store hung or folded.

COTTON

To ensure the longevity of your cotton garments, we recommend washing on delicate, inside out below 40°C (104°F). Line dry and store in a dark place away from direct sunlight.

LEATHER

Avoid storing your leather prices in direct sunlight. Spot clean leather, if necessary, with a slightly damp cloth. Leather lotion can be used, please ensure you follow proper care instructions on product label.
